Viva Las Vegas!!!

We are back from our super, much deserved, long awaited trip to VEGAS! Was it everything I hoped for...yes! was is better than I ever expected...YES!! We did our trip right...we went big and came home broke! We gambled, shopped, ate, and slept (a little!).

Here we are on the plane ride out...It was a direct flight...the craziest flight I have ever been on! People were ordering up the drinks and someone would yell "VEGAS" every few minutes. Never seen anything like it! Ha!

We stayed at the Venetian...which is absolutely amazing. I cannot even imagine how much it must have cost to build this palace! The ceilings themselves must have been millions! And our room was like a little French suite. LOVED everything about this place!!!

You can see the gondola behind us! It runs through the middle of the hotel and the gondoleers sing songs like "When the moon hits your eye, like a big pizza pie..that's amore!" For real!
Absolutely no luck in the gambling department. I put $20 in and got $0 out EVERY time! I just don't know when to walk away!

However, lots of luck in the shopping department!! We only bought things we couldn't get back home! We got the boys some wooden toys from FAO Schwartz. Maddox got a tool box, Cruz got a truck...however, when we gave them the gifts Maddox wanted the truck and Cruz wanted the Tool box...whatever makes happy! We also found the funniest Ed Hardy one piece outfit for Cruz, so of course Maddox had to get a matching shirt. They are wearing them today and look like lil rock stars!! David got a pair of shoes while we were out there...they had a Kenneth Cole Store, which is his fave. I must say however, that I am the one who got the best stuff;). I got the most fabulous Juicy rain boots...random buy, but I am in love with them and am ready for a monsoon!! Ha! I also got a bracelet I have wanted for YEARS...the Tiffany & Co. charm bracelet...David treated me...I love him;)! So as you can see, shopping was a def SUCCESS!!

Now, on to my other favorite part....EATING!!!! We had to map out and plan all our meals because there were so many yummy places we wanted to go! First stop...Serendipity 3...home of the "Frozen Hot Chocolate". This place had the cutest atmosphere and neatest menu I have ever seen! We only went in for the Hot Chocolate....here it is:

YUMMY!!

And if we had hit it big, we were going to come back and order this:

Yes, that is a $1,000 dessert...for real!

That night we ate some of the best Chinese food ever at TAO. This restaurant is in NY and LV. Cool, cool, cool atmosphere, very sophisticated and sleek! Dark and romantic. Loved it. Oh, funniest fortune cookies you've ever seen...I had to take a picture!

Yes, that says "If you got some action last night-smile", Davids said "you will feel a sin coming on in the near future".

Saturday night we ate at MIX. It is at Mandalay Bay at the very top overlooking the strip. Everything in the entire place is white. The only thing that wasn't were the red water glasses. It felt like you were on the Jetson's, very space-like, modern. The food was AMAZING!!!!!!!!! Our favorite by far!

Here I am waiting on our table. The view....

The Restaurant MIX....

Okay, so on to the main reason I was so pumped for our trip. Saturday night was the Britney Spears concert at Mandalay Bay. It was the final stop of her "Circus" tour. Yes, I love her....NO, I don't care what you think;)...haha! I will always be a fan!!! It was the highlight of the trip and she put on an AMAZING show. I danced, danced, danced, and sang to every song. (how old am I??) Anyways, it was so fun, thanks to my hubby who "took one for the team" by going to see her with me!

The whole trip we would chant "VE-GAS, VE-GAS, VE-GAS" or "BRIT-NEY, BRIT-NEY, BRIT-NEY"....well, David took this picture of us and I am chanting for Britney...;)

Here are pictures from the actual concert....what fun we had!!!!!

So that is our trip...fun, fun, fun!! I LOVE VACATION!!!!! VE-GAS, VE-GAS, VEGAS...

Dogs and Hogs

Okay, so this weekend has got to be one of the best I have had in a LONG time! Lets start with Friday....

First, Alyssa and I went to a wine tasting at Underwood Plaza on Dickson Street. They are going to be part of the Winter Dreams Home Tours I am working on, so we had to go check it out! We didn't stay but about 30 minutes, but it was fun none the less. The funniest part to me is that we were dressed to go to "Strut for a Mutt", which is a fashion show, and everyone else there was WAY more low key...haha! We stood out! We decided that Sarah Jessica Parker wouldn't care, why should we!

Here is a shot of Underwood Plaza...if you live in NWA, you MUST come to see the home tours December 6th...its gonna be good!
Alyssa took this picture of me before we went in...I was talking business....Winter Dreams business....keeping me busy even on a Friday night:)!
Here is Alyssa in one of the condos...what an awesome view of Dickson!

"Strut for a Mutt" is a fundraiser for the Fayetteville Animal Shelter. My friend Alyssa and I went together. The fundraiser is sponsored by Lola (a GREAT boutique store) and there is a fashion show by lola and the models also walk with dogs, which are up for adoption. My friend Tara was a model in the show and she did GREAT. We hung out with her sister, and my friend, Rachel, her sister Nicole, and her Mom Kim, and all of their men. (My man was at home with the boys, thanks David!)

Here is Alyssa and I on our way to "Strut":
Me and my girl, Rachel!! We had so much fun!!
Kim, Alyssa, Brooke, Rachel, and ME!

The most fun part was the after party that was DJ'd by Samantha Ronson...yes Lindsey Lohan's "bff"...haha! She did an awesome job...we were dancing like maniacs, I swear.....I was so sweaty...the leather leggings I was sporting didn't help either!

Check out that hair in my face! I was a sweaty mess!

Samantha Ronson!!!

Seriously, I cannot even begin to tell you how fun this night was! So much fun with the girlfriends! And Alyssa and I topped it off with a late night Burger King drive thru....ahhhh! Nuttin like a big, greasy cheeseburger to counter all the calories I burned dancing!

So onto Saturday....The Razorback game.....we had been looking forward to tailgating, but the weather told us otherwise...it rained ALL day! Boo hoo! We ended up going a tad bit early and walking through some tailgates and then straight on to the game.
Here is a view from our seats...the nosebleeds, or what we like to call "Hog Heaven". WOOOOOO PIG SOOOIE!!
Me and the hubby at the game!Touchdown, Razorbacks!

Sad to say we didn't win......but our new quarterback is my new fave person. What a great job he is doing!!

And I can't end this post without a HUGE shout out to my best friend Amber who watched my kiddos so we could go to the game. She has 3 of her own....so she had 5 total....that girl is a saint! Thanks so much!!

Seriously??

Is Maddox just trying to give me some blogging topics this week. This kid keeps me on my toes! I was blow drying my hair this morning and THOUGHT Maddox was watching TV. Nope, I should never assume!

I guess he thought it would be a fun idea to empty a whole box of Lucky Charms onto the ground and feed it to the dog. I heard smacking from the time I turned off the blow dryer...so I was equipped with camera....I knew it was going to be something bad!

Seriously, I just had to walk away.....I went and finished my hair before I cleaned it up (yes, hair is that important....and hey, Maddox was being quiet and leaving me alone!!). When I came back I found this....

At least he tried to clean it up! By the way, getting smushed lucky charms marshmallows off of your floor is NOT easy!
