Viva Las Vegas!!!

We are back from our super, much deserved, long awaited trip to VEGAS! Was it everything I hoped for...yes! was is better than I ever expected...YES!! We did our trip right...we went big and came home broke! We gambled, shopped, ate, and slept (a little!).

Here we are on the plane ride out...It was a direct flight...the craziest flight I have ever been on! People were ordering up the drinks and someone would yell "VEGAS" every few minutes. Never seen anything like it! Ha!

We stayed at the Venetian...which is absolutely amazing. I cannot even imagine how much it must have cost to build this palace! The ceilings themselves must have been millions! And our room was like a little French suite. LOVED everything about this place!!!

You can see the gondola behind us! It runs through the middle of the hotel and the gondoleers sing songs like "When the moon hits your eye, like a big pizza pie..that's amore!" For real!
Absolutely no luck in the gambling department. I put $20 in and got $0 out EVERY time! I just don't know when to walk away!

However, lots of luck in the shopping department!! We only bought things we couldn't get back home! We got the boys some wooden toys from FAO Schwartz. Maddox got a tool box, Cruz got a truck...however, when we gave them the gifts Maddox wanted the truck and Cruz wanted the Tool box...whatever makes happy! We also found the funniest Ed Hardy one piece outfit for Cruz, so of course Maddox had to get a matching shirt. They are wearing them today and look like lil rock stars!! David got a pair of shoes while we were out there...they had a Kenneth Cole Store, which is his fave. I must say however, that I am the one who got the best stuff;). I got the most fabulous Juicy rain boots...random buy, but I am in love with them and am ready for a monsoon!! Ha! I also got a bracelet I have wanted for YEARS...the Tiffany & Co. charm bracelet...David treated me...I love him;)! So as you can see, shopping was a def SUCCESS!!

Now, on to my other favorite part....EATING!!!! We had to map out and plan all our meals because there were so many yummy places we wanted to go! First stop...Serendipity 3...home of the "Frozen Hot Chocolate". This place had the cutest atmosphere and neatest menu I have ever seen! We only went in for the Hot Chocolate....here it is:

YUMMY!!

And if we had hit it big, we were going to come back and order this:

Yes, that is a $1,000 dessert...for real!

That night we ate some of the best Chinese food ever at TAO. This restaurant is in NY and LV. Cool, cool, cool atmosphere, very sophisticated and sleek! Dark and romantic. Loved it. Oh, funniest fortune cookies you've ever seen...I had to take a picture!

Yes, that says "If you got some action last night-smile", Davids said "you will feel a sin coming on in the near future".

Saturday night we ate at MIX. It is at Mandalay Bay at the very top overlooking the strip. Everything in the entire place is white. The only thing that wasn't were the red water glasses. It felt like you were on the Jetson's, very space-like, modern. The food was AMAZING!!!!!!!!! Our favorite by far!

Here I am waiting on our table. The view....

The Restaurant MIX....

Okay, so on to the main reason I was so pumped for our trip. Saturday night was the Britney Spears concert at Mandalay Bay. It was the final stop of her "Circus" tour. Yes, I love her....NO, I don't care what you think;)...haha! I will always be a fan!!! It was the highlight of the trip and she put on an AMAZING show. I danced, danced, danced, and sang to every song. (how old am I??) Anyways, it was so fun, thanks to my hubby who "took one for the team" by going to see her with me!

The whole trip we would chant "VE-GAS, VE-GAS, VE-GAS" or "BRIT-NEY, BRIT-NEY, BRIT-NEY"....well, David took this picture of us and I am chanting for Britney...;)

Here are pictures from the actual concert....what fun we had!!!!!

So that is our trip...fun, fun, fun!! I LOVE VACATION!!!!! VE-GAS, VE-GAS, VEGAS...

Amy,
I laughed out loud at the picture of you chanting for Britney! Ha! I promise I don't judge, because I'm the biggest Jessica Simpson fan there is! Matt took me to her concert for our first wedding anniversary :)

Love your bracelet and boots!

I've never been to Vegas (but hubs has been with work and says I must!)

I'm not the fan of Brit that you are...but I do LOVE me some Celine! Michael took me to her concert that came to Dallas at the beginning of the year!
FAN TAB ULOUS! I think our husbands ROCK for taking us to things like that!! WooHoo!!

Wow - sounds like you had an AWESOME time! Vegas is just a short drive from my house so I get to enjoy it fairly often but I think you had a much better time than me!
